Laura Marling

After being a fan for many years, since soon after her first release; I finally managed to get my calendar to coincide with Miss Marling's and what a night it was. Timbre Timbre was ace support, and Laura and her band were all tight and pitch perfect. Her voice is so mature and has so much depth and soul to it that it fits her lyrical wisdom just perfectly. I adored every moment of the set, from the acoustic solos to the ambient, harmonically complex beauties (I'm such a sucker for a well played cello). Laura, I salute you with both hands, arms, feet and every limb imaginable. Highly recommended live!
