Diana Mini Paris

We recently got our Diana Mini film developed after our trip to Paris, and I really like how some of them have turned out. It would seem I am big on the floral/epic architecture double exposures.

The Notre Dame covered in pretty yellow flowers.

Two Eiffel Towers.

The lovely Cafe de Floré.

Overlapping shots of the Eiffel from the Arc de Triomphe with the legendary Shakespeare and Co. book shop.

Eiffel Tower in bloom.

Up the tower.

Looking through them all has made me want to go back so much. It's definitely my favourite city and ohhh what I would give to live there one day!

Paris: The First Night and Montmartre

These are some snaps I took on the first night of our trip, and in the morning of our first full day when we walked up to Montmartre. The first night we explored the area we were staying in; off Rue Montmartre in the Opera Quarter. We walked for hours just exploring and in awe of everything! There was food and wine too, of course.

The next day in the morning we walked up the hills to Montmartre. The steps and the cobbled streets are so beautiful. We were so excited to go to the cafe which Amelie worked in!

I have an obscene amount of photographs to work through of our little trip to Paris so thought I'd do it in day chunks. The afternoon (well evening really) of the first day we went through to Place de la Concorde and up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe - that post will come next!

Bristol & Sheffield

These are a few shots from my camera of late, of which I have not been so good at remembering to take with me lately! Some of these are from our weekend in Bristol visiting family and friends (including the ludicrously cute picture of my boyfriend as a kid), and some others are from our day in Sheffield with friends last weekend. Both cities are so great! Lots of amazing cafes, bars and shops to pop into, and so many nice places to explore...

Weddings

I've recently been photographer at a number of weddings, taking photos alongside my Dad and it's been wonderful. There's nothing better than helping people celebrate and remember their most special day. A few photos from these weddings are below, I hope you enjoy them!

All of these have been polished with a black border and a frame, but below is a photo from a batch we are still working on so it's not quite complete yet. Sorry for the lack of continuity...!

Let me know what you think. Have you taken photos at weddings or events before? I'd love to have a look at your work, leave a comment if you like!

Grandad's Treasures

We recently went over to my Grandfather's house to help him host a party for all of his adorable old friends. It was a beautiful evening; seeing my family is always such a treat.

He had the most beautiful selection of wines. I took full advantage of this, of course...

This is Joe, enjoying a cheeky tipple.

I was quite the hostess! (I had a few compliments on one of my favourite dresses that I am seen wearing here, it's from Joy - undoubtedly my favourite store in Leeds).

A friend of my Grandad's brought him over the most beautiful flower arrangement, it was so big and colourful!

I always love exploring his house. He has the most beautiful 'vintage' china (oh the willow pattern) and beautiful trinkets everywhere. I always go into major homemaking mode and get inspired by everything around his home. They have so much they've collected from India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Africa - it's fascinating!

Beautiful china everywhere!

Of course, Joe and I have just moved house too, to the most perfect little town house. It's four stories each floor with its own room. We love it! I've been very slack with my camera lately so only have the following few shots so far...

I get so excited about ridiculous things like Ikea spice jars. You can see all of the chili goodness!

This is our living room, although a sizeable portion of it is out of view. That's the thing with our house, there's so many nooks and crannies that it's nearly impossible to capture it all in one image. I'm struggling to show friends and family what it's like because there are so many corners and twists and bends. I endeavour to do better and get some more detailed shots in the near future!

****

This is a tiny little peek at what I've taken photos of lately- I rarely take my camera out and about with me but I have made a resolution to myself to take it with me more places and take more pictures of my everyday. I rely far too heavily on my iPhone!

I'd love for you to leave a link to some of your photographs? I always love admiring others' photography.

Sunshine

I cannot WAIT for summer to come around again. Looking through some of my photos from this summer is making me lust after it even more. I miss Porthcothan Bay, the beautiful sunsets and cliff top walks. Not to mention failing at surfing in the coldest sea known to all of mankind.
